I so wanted to attend to this book fair the moment I saw this event last year or the past past years but I haven’t been able to go for some reason, one hmmm… I don’t want to go alone, I can’t wrap my mind on the idea of me wandering alone to a event full of people. But then a friend of mine invited me if I want to go to this book fair and me uber thrilled to go.
Is it wrong to expect too much? I don’t know. I expect to see a lot of books and I wasn’t denied and yes it’s a
“book” fair of course there are many books to choose from but fiction, non-fiction, fantasy books, manga, graphic novels? Not much. Educational books yes there are many, thousands to be sure. If only i’m still in my college years i’m sure as hell that i’ll buy those. Teachers, professors and whatnot can benefit to this book fair i’m sure.
We didn’t have a context for this show so we wandered around a bit aimlessly, gawking at the big trade publisher stands e.i goodwill 🙂 , pausing briefly outside to those religious books and articles and other book stands, and still wandering around with no intention of buying because we got no interest in anything but a manga for Marty (you can’t blame the fanboy in him) all the while we ended up buying a book at national bookstore which we visited in the umpteenth time. Funny to think that the first booth we visited was the last booth we ended up buying for the sake that we should at least buy anything before going home, i mean what’s the point of going and spending your time to it without even bothering to buy a book.
It was all fine from beginning to end, we are still looking forward for the next years event hopefully more fantasy, non-fiction, manga and graphic novels to come.
